By far the best among all seam bowlers in the world right now, Mitchell Starc is capable of destroying stumps even with his eyes closed. Lethal from the ball go, Starc doesn’t need a reason to be a part of a ODI team of the year.
Starc, who missed the ODI series against South Africa due to injury, managed to bag 26 wickets in 13 matches played overall in 2016, just four behind the highest wicket-taker Adam Zampa. Pacing at an average of 19.69, Starc failed to collect five wickets in an innings but slit through the batting line-up of the opposition on the given day.
With 2016 being his modest year, Starc’s presence in the line-up is enough to keep even the best batsmen at bay.
