2. David Warner.

Staring at his purple patch, ignoring David Warner in the ODI list would call for anything but disappointment. Clicking on almost every other occasion in colored jersey for Australia, Warner bettered everyone in the runs slot in 2016, even India’s Virat Kohli. His magical numbers of 1388 runs in 23 innings at an average of 63.09 could frighten any bowler, who even wishes to come his way.
Smashing seven hundreds and four fifties at a strike-rate of 105.47, Warner made sure no bowler went unpunished. His 173 against South Africa at Cape Town was as dominating a knock as any he has played so far. Warner was also the highest run-scorer in the home series against New Zealand with 299 runs in three matches including twin centuries in Canberra and Melbourne.
