He started 2016 with a brilliant series Down Under, where he scored 199 runs in three matches at a mind-boggling average of 199. He continued the same form in India’s successful campaign at the Asia Cup and scored 154 runs in four outings. In the World T20 that followed, he bagged the Man of the Tournament award after scoring 273 runs in five matches at an average of over 136.
