Virat Kohli’s gesture to his cricketing hero Sachin Tendulkar at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata:

In a Super 10 Group B match of the ICC World T20 at the Eden Gardens, Pakistan did scratch and crawl to a total of 118 runs riding on Umar Akmal’s quickfire 22.
However, India came out in the second innings and were circumspect as Rohit Sharma got a snorter from Mohammad Amir while Mohammad Sami also nipped out a few to leave India in a dire situation.
Then came Virat Kohli to the crease along with Yuvraj Singh and led the revival as two scored while playing controlled shots on a surface aiding the spinners than fast bowlers to see them overcome their arch-rivals Pakistan yet again in global tournaments.
The winning runs were scored by Virat Kohli and later the Indian vice-captain bowed down to Sachin Tendulkar, who was present in the stadium to see India register a great win over Pakistan. The Delhi-lad scored 55* of 37 balls to take his side home comfortably by six wickets with 13 balls to spare.
Kohli said it was a watershed moment in his cricketing career to see his childhood hero rooting for him from the stands.
Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as‘God of cricket’ in the country, tweeted:
Great Win Team India. Thank you for the innings and gesture @imVkohli! #IndvsPak (1/2)
