#5. Joe Root – 796 Runs
England’s Joe Root has been prolific this season as he remained the best player for England across all three formats. His solid performances coming in at top of the order meant the English team now have a reliable player who they bank on more often than not.
The 25-year old will hope to continue his fine form as Champions Trophy looms in the summer next year. He has managed an impressive 796 runs in just 15 ODIs this year.
