Alex Hales (England) – 171 (122b, 22*4, 4*6)
England have in the recent past, surpassed some astonishing feats in world cricket. This innings from Alex Hales was one such feat by England who scored the highest score in ODI history at Trent Bridge against Pakistan in August this year. Having won the toss, England chose to bat and Hales helped himself to 171, the highest individual score by an English batsman in one day cricket.
Though there was help from batsmen at the other end, Hales put in a mammoth performance with the bat to help his side to a tremendous start and was only stopped by Hasan Ali who trapped him lbw. Having also helped England to a series victory, this memorable knock from Hales is one of the best innings in one day cricket in this year.
