Sprint king Usain Bolt to visit India in September
The Jamaican superstar , Usain Bolt will make his first arrival to India next month to compete against Yuvraj Singh in a cricket face off against Yuvraj Singh at Bangalore. Yuvraj And Bolt , both are the brand ambassadors of Puma and are comng for this event which has been organised by Puma at Chinnaswamy Stadium at bangalore on 2nd of September.
The media release stated, ” For the first time ever, watch the Fastest Man on Earth — Usain Bolt, challenge Yuvraj Singh to an exclusive cricket showdown at Chinnaswamy Stadium on September 2,” .
Bolt, the 28 year star has been a keen follower of cricket and has shown his desire to play in the Indian Premier League as a fast bowler. In addition to that, he has played in the domestic T20 league in Australia.
Bolt is currently the world record holder for 100m and 200m sprint and has won 6 gold medals in the Olympics. , Bolt showed signs that he will retire from the game after the 2016 Rio Olympics , but recently Bolt has revealed that he is thinking of delaying his retirement till 2017 on the request of his sponsors.
An official from the Athletics Federation of India has revealed that they have no role in bringing Bolt to India and added that it’s just because that he is the brand ambassador of Puma that he is coming to India.
On the other hand , Yuvraj Singh has just come out of seeing father being taken to Jail and then coming out of it. Also, it will be difficult for him to comeback into the Indian side, especially with the amount of competition going around now.
Lately, Yuvraj has shown some glimpses of his past Midas touch, which all started towards the end of the IPL and has carried on to the MCC vs Rest of The World Match.
