Sreesanth vows to come back to cricket with emotional series of tweets

S Sreesanth has assured that he will come back to cricketing action through a series of tweets he posted on social media site Twitter.

The 33-year-old has been out of action for around three years after getting a life ban for spot-fixing in the IPL back in 2013. Sreesanth got a clean chit from the Delhi High Court a year ago but the BCCI is yet to lift the ban on him.

Sreesanth has been involved with politics and films over the last few months.

Sreesanth, who joined the BJP, lost in his Thiruvananthapuram constituency in the Kerala assembly election. The former India pacer managed to secure 34,764 votes but lost the contest to VS Sivakumar of the Congress by 11710 votes.

However, now through a series of tweets, the fast bowler has vowed to make a comeback to cricket.

He tweeted, “am sure I will play again..I will never ever give up on my dreams. I don’t have any support from anyone. God is great..its just the matter of time ..I just need 6 months of proper cricket skills sessions(matches)Nd I will be back the top level.”

This is my promise to all ..I will play again no matter how small my chances are..I am gonna keep at it ..”HOPE is the best gift we have.

“And yeah all the critics out thr..I haven’t done anything bad to the game.I haven’t cheated anyone..its just that I was framed..”

Before being slapped with a ban, the former Indian pacer had played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs, and T20Is for India. He also played for Kings XI Punjab, Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Once being tipped a consistent performer, Sreesanth is not new to controversies.

In 2006 against South Africa, he had a tussle with Andre Nel. He also had an altercation with fellow national teammate Harbhajan Singh during IPL 2008, where the latter slapped Sreesanth after the match and he was seen crying like a baby.
