Sri Lanka losses 11 T20 matches in 2016

Sri Lankan Cricket team so far had a disappointing year in T20 format as they have lost 11 matches. Sri Lankan team have won only 3 T20I matches this year. The previous record was held by Pakistan who had lost 12 T20 matches in the year 2010.
The Sri Lankan team went to New Zealand at the start of the year. The team Sri Lankan lost the test series, ODI series. They lost the T20 series 0-2. They lost both T20 matches badly.
Then the Sri Lankan went to India for three matches T20 series. The Sri Lankan team won the first match but lost the next two matches to lose the series to India by a gap of 2-1. After they departed to the Asia Cup T20 tournament where they only one match against associate nation UAE.
Sri Lanka then went to the ICC World T20 as defending champions. They won their first match against Afghanistan but lost the next 3 matches to be knocked out of the tournament in the first round itself.
Sri Lanka then came to England for three test matches, 5 ODI, and a single T20. The team was not able to win single game on the tour. The Sri Lankan lost their only T20 match by 8 wickets to end the tour on a disappointing note.
Sri Lanka will play more T20 matches in the upcoming months against Australia, South Africa. The main problem for Sri Lanka as been that their youngsters have not come to the party and also Angelo Mathews needs to lead from the front if they have to come out of this slump.
