This will be Sri Lanka’s first-day night game whereas third one for Pakistan. Last year as well, they played a pink ball game in Dubai against Windies and also went on to play one more game against Australia in Brisbane in the month of December.
“The two cricket boards are still finalising the itinerary for the series of two Tests, five ODIs and three T20 matches. The Sri Lankans have requested the series to start earlier in late September instead of early October,” a source told PTI.
It was also learnt that the PCB was eager to hosts Sri Lanka for the two T20i game in Lahore but Sri Lankan board turned down their offer.
The Sri Lanka series will be Pakistan’s first ever series after successful ICC Champions Trophy triumph. They were to face Bangladesh soon after but BCB cancelled the tour.
At present, Sri Lankan team is hosting India in three Tests, five ODIs and a T20I series. They will face Pakistan next followed by a series against India once again.
