Sri Lanka vs India 2017: Dean Jones Takes a Dig at Ravi Shastri after Series Whitewash

India has managed to clinch the ODI series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka by 5-0, ensuring that the hosts suffered their first whitewash at home in their ODI history.
India pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah was adjourned as the Man of the series after his impressive 15 wickets in five ODIs. He was also awarded a vehicle which MS Dhoni drove around Premadasa Stadium for a victory lap.
After the presentations, Indian team were jovial and enjoyed their time on the pitch. MS Dhoni then took the keys and got behind the wheel. The likes of Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Ajinkya Rahane were around the seating area.
Other stars like Chahal, Rahul, Axar, Bumrah, Rohit, Bhuvi all sat on the roof or in the open area on the car. However, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones tried to take a dig at the Indian coach Ravi Shastri about his Audi in 1985.
In case if you didn’t know, Shastri was one of the star performers for India when the team won the World Championship of Cricket in Australia. The 55-year-old was declared as Champion of Champions after his impressive role in helping India triumph in the prestigious tournament.
He was awarded an Audi car for his performance. Shastri took his teammates around MCG after their comprehensive eight wickets win win over Pakistan in the final. That victory lap around iconic MCG was a talking point back at that time, and Dean Jones was quick to take a sly dig at his compatriot after looking at the picture of the current Indian team repeating the feat at Colombo.

Dean Jones was part of Australian squad back in 1985, and when the two sides met, India pipped Australia to an eight wicket defeat, as they chased down the target with 13.5 overs left.
It looks like the Australian stalwart did not forget the old days, and it remains to be seen if Ravi Shastri gives any reply to his fellow pal.
