- Number Four Slot:
The middle-order slot of number four has caused some serious headaches within the Indian camp for quite a while now. Ajinkya Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik and Manish Pandey have been some of the individuals who have auditioned for that role.
Now, we have a new batsman vying in for that role, in the form of the elegant KL Rahul. Rahul is a sure shot beginner at number four for the first the ODI, and all attention will be on him. If Rahul has a memorable outing in the middle-order, a spot which he has enjoyed in the IPL, he could well be persisted for the long term goal in mind.
Not to forget, Rahul also has a century in a T20I while batting for India at number four. Thus, this shall make up for another fine episode.
