Sri Lanka vs India 2017: Four Players who may not get Enough Chances in the ODI Series 1

  1. Yuzvendra Chahal:

Chahal had a fantastic outing in the India A Tri series in South Africa and was consistent in his performances. Nevertheless, Chahal in all probability faces intense competition from his teammates from that series itself, Axar Patel.

Given the stupendous success Kuldeep Yadav achieved in the West Indies, where he even outbowled India’s first choice spin twins R. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, it becomes easy to say that Kuldeep will play all five games.

As a matter of fact, the second spinner will bowl around Kuldeep, assisting the Chinaman. Thus, the choice boils down between Axar Patel and Chahal. The point of being a decent lower order batsman, and a like for like replacement of Ravindra Jadeja, works heavily in favour of Axar, thereby he will make the XI.
