- Manish Pandey:
It might seem cruel and callous, but the fact remains that the ever impressive Manish Pandey might not get enough chances in the upcoming ODI series. When Prasad recently spoke about the team, he was quick to mention that the management wants to try KL Rahul in the middle order at number four, the spot vacated by Yuvraj Singh.
Rahul flourished at the place for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2016 IPL and given his set of skills, and how quickly he can accelerate, the think tank wants to try Rahul in that middle order role.
Rahul can offer more to the table than Pandey on paper, as he can stabilise the innings, and also ferociously attack, taking the game away from the opposition, as seen in his T20I ton last year.
