To go along with that, Ashwin also has four Test centuries to his name, and a batting average in the 30’s is another indication of how colossal an asset he is to team India. Post India’s dominating victory on the fourth day at Galle, the all-rounder was presented with a memento to mark his 50th Test.

After receiving the memento, Ashwin took to Twitter in order to express his happiness and delight on the colourful journey of his Test career so far.

“Memorable test, will cherish it forever. Never thought I would get here. #grateful,” wrote Ashwin on Twitter.

Given the near future and with India travelling for an array of overseas tours, Ashwin remains absolutely critical to the team’s plans. With his rising stature as an all-rounder and a match winner, only further greatness awaits this genius.
