India gained an upper hand as day 3 of the second test ended. After a great morning session for the hosts, India charged up by a riveting spell from Ishant Sharma stormed their way back into the game. Ishant Sharma was very well assisted by Amit Mishra, who in the process got to his 50th test wicket. Stuart Binny finally got his maiden test wicket as he dismissed Angello Mathews. Mathews was dismissed after a brilliant century and led from the front. India gained a key lead of 87 and ended day 3 on 70-1, with KL Rahul being castled by Prasad. Twitter was abuzz with activity, and below are some of those tweets.
Great comeback by India. A little more bounce with the second new ball for both spinners & pacers. Ishant the main protagonist. #SLvIND
