Sri Lanka’s Niroshan Dickwella Ruled Out Of Bangladesh Series

Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella has been ruled out of ongoing Bangladesh limited-over series. Dickwella has suffered a hairline fracture during a training session on Sunday. Wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella missed the first ODI as well, which the hosts lost by 90 runs. During Monday’s practice session, he was unable to grip the bat in his hand.
Sri Lanka have called up off-spinner Dilruwan Perera as his replacement for the rest of two matches left. Seamers Nuwan Kulashekera and Nuwan Pradeep have also been added to the squad as cover for Suranga Lakmal.
Bangladesh had defeated Sri Lanka in the first ODI by 90 runs, Tamim Iqbal scored a ton to provide Bangladesh a huge win. Inclusion of a off-spinner replacing is understandable as Bangladesh in the first ODI scored 324 runs with only five wickets lost in 50 overs.
Bangladeshis are expected to give Sri Lanka some hard time. They previously defeated the Islanders in their last test match by six wickets.
Bangladeshi captain Mashrafe Mortaza feels really confident about his team’s performance. He said, he is really confident about his team’s good performance which will give Tigers chance to win the series.
