1. England in India (2017)- 2090 runs:
The run-feast between India and England finally came to an end with another high-scoring encounter at the Eden Gardens. The first two matches of the three-match series had witnessed over 700 runs being scored in each game and the last one did not disappoint the fans either as both the teams again scored over 300 runs.
Batting first, England had posted 321 and in reply, India went agonisingly close to chasing down the huge total before eventually falling short by 5 runs. The high-scoring series, nevertheless, has entered the record books as it now holds the record of having the highest aggregate of runs being scored in an ODI series of three or fewer matches. A combined of 2090 runs were scored in the three-match series, which saw six 300-plus being scored.
