4. Virat Kohli (211 vs New Zealand)

Fourth in the list stands current Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli with his 211 against New Zealand at Indore in 2016. Having already won the Test series against the Kiwis, both sides locked horns in final Test with New Zealand aiming to play for pride.
Winning the toss, the hosts decided to bat first. After a poor start, Kohli got under New Zealand’s skin as he took the bowlers for a ride and scored his second double ton of 2016. His deputy Ajinkya Rahane too joined the party and scored a masterful 188.
Courtesy Ravichandran Ashwin, who bagged 13 of the 20 Kiwi wickets, India won the match and completed a 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand at home. Virat Kohli though finished the tour with the tally of 309 runs at an average of 51.50.
