- Virat Kohli (235 vs England)

The flamboyant Indian skipper Virat Kohli tops the list with a brilliant 235 against England at Mumbai. Playing the fourth Test of the series at Wankhede in 2016, the right-handed batsman made a record of notching up his third double ton of the year as a skipper. He also broke many records, with one of them being the only Indian to score 200 plus three times in a single calendar year.
During his master class knock, the Delhi-born batsman left no corner uncovered while smashing runs for his side. Not convinced with his 29 fours, he smashed one to Chris Woakes for a maximum to make his score-sheet look complete.
India handed England an embarrassing defeat by an innings and 36 runs to take a 3-0 lead in the five-match Test series.
