Rahul Dravid:

Rahul Dravid held the top spot in the list for close to 13 years before Pujara leapt ahead of him. The majestic marathon knock came against Pakistan at Rawalpindi against a strong bowling attack led by Shoaib Akhtar. The Karnataka star faced 495 deliveries in his 740 minutes long knock which enabled him to register his career-best performance of 270. His time at the crease saw him hit 34 boundaries. The surprising fact is that though it was a long and tiring knock, he played at a slightly quick strike-rate of around 53 as opposed to the much slower scoring rate he usually has registered to his name.
