Navjot Singh Sidhu:
The man who popularised the ‘slam bang’ approach of cricket in the 90’s, Navjot Singh Sidhu is a surprise mention in the list. He achieves a place here as a result of his career-best Test knock of 201, which he hit against the West Indies at Port of Spain in 1997. Coming out to bat in the second innings in reply to West Indies’ total of 296, Sidhu played a lonely knock and helped India reach a formidable 436, facing the likes of Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh. His remarkable knock spanned 491 deliveries and 673 minutes.
