4. Ridley Jacobs – 49* vs Australia, 30 May 1999:

Probably one of the most-awaited games of that world cup, the game failed to live up to its expectations as the Glenn McGrath destroyed the West Indies batting lineup with his five-wicket haul. None of the batsmen could apply themselves on the tough pitch as they were dismissed for a paltry 110. Only two batsmen could cross the double-digit mark, with Ridley being one of them. The wicketkeeper-batsman remained unbeaten but could not help his team get to a respectable total as he ran out of partners. In the process, he became the first West Indies batsman to carry his bat and also become the first batsman to do so a world cup.Steve Waugh’s men comfortably chased down the total in the 41st over.
