- Chetan Chauhan (2084 runs):
The fact that statistics can be plainly misleading has no better reference than Chetan Chauhan. In his illustrious career spanning 12 years, the Delhi opener was an integral part of team India, as he formed a decent opening partnership with Sunil Gavaskar. The two went on to have 10 opening stands in excess of 100 and more often than not provided India with a decent start. Chauhan, however, didn’t even score a single career century to his name as his best score remained 97. Despite that, his contributions for India remained significant throughout his career.
