Chris Gayle – The self-proclaimed ‘World Boss’ Chris Gayle has a total of five centuries to his name in the grandest T20 league in the world. Gayle has been part of the T20 league in the first edition of IPL but found no buyers in 2011 auction. He was roped in as a replacement for the injured Dirk Nannes by RCB in 2011 and rest is history.
Then and now, Gayle is one of the best replacements in the history of IPL. He announced his arrival with a century against Kolkata Knight Riders when RCB chased down a target of 172 with 11 balls to go. It was an ironic loss for KKR as it was this franchise only that let Gayle go.
Till now, Gayle has scored five centuries in total. It was in the year 2013 when he tore apart record books and played an innings of 175* against now defunct Pune Warriors India, a record that stands till now. Apart from that, Gayle also holds a record for most sixes in IPL as he has clobbered a total of 251 sixes in the cash-rich league.
