3 – R Ashwin – 188 Ind v Eng 2017 series
It has not been the good series for the Indian off-spinner Ravichandaran Ashwin who went wicket-less in the first match at Pune where he conceded 63 runs at an economy of 7.87 in eight overs.
In the second match, Ashwin, who looked off-colour in the series opener picked three wickets by giving away 65 runs in his quota of 10 overs while conceding three sixes and three boundaries respectively.
Having the tinge of green, Eden Gardens turf was tailor-made for the bowlers, but batters equally on the task played some fine strokes to see both the sides cross 300-mark with ease.
Under the floodlights, the pace and bounce has made India batters struggle in the middle. Ashwin was again at the receiving end to go wicket-less in his nine overs. He has conceded 60 runs an economy of 6.66.
Ashwin picked three wickets during the series.
