After handing a comfortable six-wicket win in the third ODI following the triple-figure mark by Rohit Sharma, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s future appearance was questioned smashed unbeaten 67 off 86 deliveries as he equalled the most number of not outs in ODIs with former South African Shaun Pollock and Sri Lankan Chaminda Vaas, who both have shared the list with 72 each.

The gloveman Dhoni is further enjoying his batting against Sri Lanka in the ongoing series; as he went on to register a significant win owing to his unbeaten 45 for visitors in the second India after the side was reeling at 131 for seven.

Interestingly, Dhoni has also the most number of successful unbeaten innings, in the run chase to record the number of 40.

The right handed batsman has already pip former veterans of the game which includes Jonty Rhodes (33), Izamamam-Ul-Haq (32) from Pakistan and Australian Ricky Pointing (31).

Dhoni who is averaging 51.93 has amassed 9,608 runs in 299 ODIs.
