Virat Kohli was handed the captaincy when Sri Lanka visited India in 2014, and the current India captain not only made a big impression with his captaincy but also contributed immensely with his bat too. India won the five-match series 5-0 and Kohli led the team from the front, scoring 329 runs with the help of one century and two half-centuries.
The right-handed batsman was the second highest run-scorer in the series behind his Sri Lankan counterpart Angelo Mathews.
