Indian batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has managed to become the player with most not outs to his name during the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka at Colombo.

The 36-year old, who is playing in his 300th ODI, has managed to play a great knock at the fag end of the Indian innings as his quick fire 49* from 42 balls helped India reach to a commendable 375/5 at the end of 50 overs. His innings consisted of 5 fours and 1 six as he accelerated in the death overs to help India post a massive total alongside Manish Pandey.

Dhoni, who has been one of the most consistent ODI players in world cricket over the past decade, has always been known for his quick finishing skills in the final overs. He earned a reputable name for himself by managing to stay until the end and see his side through.

The level of such incredible consistency has seen Dhoni become the player who finished the innings with most, not outs in ODIs. He now has 73 unbeaten innings to his name, a record which he shared with Shaun Pollock (South Africa) and Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka) going into his 300th ODI game.

Dhoni can also break few more records as he is also on the verge of breaking the record for most stumpings effected in international cricket. Kumar Sangakkara and MS Dhoni tied on 99 stumpings.

The former Indian skipper has been tantalizing Sri Lankan bowlers over the course of the series as his not out scores in the last two ODIs has helped India win the games from very tough situations. With him being in such extraordinary form, one could not think less than seeing him play 2019 World Cup before deciding on his future.
