Starting from the win in the inaugural T20- World Cup, India has always managed to make their presence felt in the format. Having said that, they have two winning streaks to their name in this format; both with 7 wins in a row. After losing the opening match of the 3 match series, India embarked on a dominant streak when they beat Sri Lanka at Ranchi on 12th February 2016.
The Men in Blue went on to clinch the series 2-1 with a win at Vishakhapatnam in the final match and continued their great form in the Asia Cup. The multi-nation tournament was being played in the shortest format for the first time and India ended up dominating all the participating nations (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and UAE) by winning it. They remained unbeaten in the tournament adding five more remarkable wins to take the overall tally to 7 matches.
