Ireland – 8:
Another associate with a great record in the shortest format, Ireland has been Afghanistan’s only worthy competitor for many years. The Irish has not had any shortage of talents in the recent decades and has even got better of top teams like Pakistan and England at multi-nation events. A unit with such calibre is obviously bound to dominate its own category of associates. They kick-started a fine run of 8 wins on the trot in 2012. It began during their tour of Kenya where they secured a 6 wicket win over Kenya at Mombasa on 22nd February 2012 in the three-match series. They continued their fine run throughout the following World T20 Qualifiers, winning the tournament without a loss on 24th March 2012 with the win over Afghanistan in the finals.
