- Charles Coventry 194* vs Bangladesh – 2009:
On 16th August 2009, Coventry went past the record for the highest individual score in ODI cricket held by Saeed Anwar, as he remained unbeaten at 194 against Bangladesh at Bulawayo. Coming in at number 3, Coventry hit 16 fours and 7 sixes in his knock of 194* that came off 156 deliveries. Due to his brilliance, Zimbabwe got to 312-8 in 50 overs. However, Coventry’s efforts were overshadowed as Tamim Iqbal won the day for Bangladesh with his stormy innings of 154 off just 138 deliveries. In the end, Bangladesh comfortably won the game with 13 deliveries to spare.
