2. 410 – Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid:

Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid came agonisingly close to breaking India’s highest partnership in Test (413 by Vinoo Mankad and Pankaj Roy)when they added 410 runs for the first wicket against Pakistan in 2006 but fell short by 3 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored a mammoth 679 runs on a pitch that had nothing to offer for the bowlers. In reply, Dravid and Sehwag took full advantage of the pitch and added 410 for the first wicket. Sehwag scored 254 while Dravid scored 128. The match ended in a draw.
