Is Steve Smith interested in captaincy??
Smith talked to cricket.com.au and expresses that he is not interested in the captaincy job. He believes that Tim Paine is doing awesome job and he should continue.
“I’m not even thinking about that (captaincy) at the moment. At the moment I am comfortable and Tim is doing a great job,” he said.
Smith talks about the experience in England during the recent Ashes. He was the highest run-scorer in the Ashes 2019. The right-handed batsman was even ruled out from the third Test of that series due to concussion but he still managed to claim huge distance from the second most run-scorer in that series.

Because of fabulous performance and contribution in Ashes 2019, Australia retained the Ashes urn for the first time after 2001.
“I was pretty chilled out the whole time (in England). I’m obviously pretty intense when I am out there batting but I help out wherever I can. I don’t want to sit back and not say something if I think it might help us. We will cross that bridge later if it comes,” he added.
Smith will also make a comeback in T20Is against after three and a half years. He will play the T20I series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in home ground.
