Pakistan in Australia was facing problem in every department. The Pakistan bowlers were unable to pick up wickets of Australian batsmen while the visiting batsmen were impotent in front of the host bowlers. Even the Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali showed no temperament to face the Australian fast bowler.
Azhar Ali, who took the reigns of longest format from Sarfaraz Ahmed, could not lead his team to victory. In the four innings, he scored just 62 runs for his team. Only, in the first innings of the first Test, Azhar scored a double-digit whereas, in the left three innings, he ended after just scoring 5,9 and 9 runs.
Steve Smith grabbed an amazing catch
On day three of the second Test match, Steve Smith should be credited to pick the wicket of Pakistan skipper. Smith, standing at the slip, took an unbelievable catch in the lower right after Azhar Ali gets an edge off his bat. With this, the visitors were reduced to 11-2.

The opening partners of the visitors were ineffective in chasing the total of the host. Except for Babar Azam, the middle order had no contribution in the match. Australia had an easy win over Pakistan in the first Test match.
Middle-order batsman Babar Azam and lower-order batsman Yasir Shah were the two to score a century for the team. In the first Test match, Babar Azam, No.1 T20I and No.3 ODI batsman, scored 104 runs in the second innings. Under the light in Adelaide, the player just missed the century by three runs. Mitchell Starc’s full-length delivery broke the dream of the player of scoring a century. The fast-bowler completed his five-wicket haul after taking the wicket of the right-hand batsman.
After getting bundled out for just 302 runs in their first innings, Pakistan managed to score only 239 runs in their second innings. Australia, who scored 589/3 decl. in their first innings, won that match by an innings and 48 runs.
