South African speedster Dale Steyn is all set to join Glamorgan County Cricket Club to play in the upcoming Natwest T20 Blast. Steyn played few matches in the ninth season of Indian Premier League and then decided to join Natwest T20 Blast.
He has been offered a short-term contract with the club and is looking forward to getting the paper works done and once he receives his visa, he will be able to fly off for the English Twenty20 (T20) tournament. The tournament has already got names like Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo involved for the 2016 season and will be a star-studded affair to which Steyn is the newest inclusion.
“Hopefully, I will have my chance next month having been offered a short contract with Glamorgan in the English T20 which starts this week. If I can get my visa and other paperwork sorted I look forward to putting all my newly gained knowledge to good work,” Steyn told.
Dale Steyn shared his experience in this season of IPL. “It has been a very different tournament for me personally but fascinating nonetheless because I have probably learnt as much in one season as a squad member as I did in four or five on the field. Sitting with the coaches and `reading’ the game from the side is very different to being in the thick of the action -and I can assure you I would still prefer to be inside the ropes than outside!” he said.
