Pakistan latest fast bowling sensation Usman Khan Shinwari has been ruled out for at least six months from the cricketing activities after the fresh reports suggested he has been diagnosed with a back stress fracture.
The 23-year-old bowler Shinwari has been on roll with the white-ball against Sri Lanka in the recently concluded limited overs series.

The left-arm bowler Shinwari, who hails from Pakistan’s tribal region of Khyber Agency, rose among the ranks to impress the national selectors of Pakistan owing to his dedication and hard work in the domestic fold.
According to the reliable sources, the injury-prone Shinwari is nursing a career-ending injury which subsequently requires an urgent treatment after featuring in his early days of cricketing career.
After receiving his One-day International cap, Shinwari bagged a solitary wicket of Sri Lanka skipper Upul Tharanga and the former left a significant impact in the 50-over fixture by picking career-best of five for 34 in seven overs at iconic Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As chief of the national selectors, Inzamam-Ul-Haq already set his eyes on the promising prospect Shinwari, who is termed as left-arm Umar Gul owing to former’s run-up and release of the ball.
Interestingly, Shinwari was the replacement of left-arm Mohammad Amir, who was nursing the injury, as it has been the norm in Pakistan to produce the quality fast bowlers in the gentleman’s game.
In 21 balls of the fifth and final ODI between hosts Pakistan and visitors Sri Lanka, Shinwari’s devastating spell left the Lions clueless.’

Earlier, well-built Shinwari lauded the efforts of the bowling coach Azhar Mahmood for instilling confidence in him.
In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Shinwari was the part of its outfit Karachi Kings and eventually impressed Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur, who has also nursed Kings.
Shinwari dismissed openers in the form of Upul Tharanga and Sadeera Samarawickrama followed by Dinesh Chandimal, Niroshan Dickwella and Milinda Siriwardana.
Shinwari made his international debut in December 2013 against Sri Lanka at Dubai.

The fast bowler Shinwari was hopeful to cement his place in the limited-overs squad before the latest blow shook the youngster.
Injury-marred Shinwari also confronted the similar problem way back in 2013, as the fresh reports of the first scan revealed it has worsened for Shinwari.
Moreover, the extent of the injury would be revealed on November six, after the report was presented by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) doctor Sohail Saleem.

In 19 first-class games, Shinwari bagged 68 wickets at an average of 25.10. His best figure in the four-day competition is six for 66.
In 21 List-A matches, Shinwari claimed 36 wickets and 34 scalps in 30 Twenty20 Internationals games.
