Former Australian spinner Stuart McGill has been charged with an AVO by his partner and girlfriend Julie Singleton for domestic violence and will be presented in front of the local court next Thursday for the hearing.
His girlfriend Ms Singleton, a Sydney lawyer and the ex-wife of high-profile businessman John Singleton, sought for a provisional AVO on boxing day, and later the case is set to be kept in front of the court where the police will apply for orders on her behalf.
The interim order now is Stuart should be staying at least 100 meters from her house and her office too. He doesn’t hold any right to put her property under damage and can’t even approach her personally if he wishes too, his lawyer would the needful. The orders have also barred him from assaulting and harassing Singleton in future.
The couple, however, made their first appearance together at a function together in eastern suburbs restaurant Catalina in September 2014. The fifth wife of John Singleton’s, Julie has often appeared on television and radio talk show and has also hosted the show Legal Matters on 2UE.
The matter though will be presented in Waverley Local Court, New South Wales.
