The fierce pacer from the Sunrisers franchise Dale Steyn opened up about the life of a cricketer away from the sport.

Dale Steyn said that he always felt that it was hard for a person to partner a sports person. Steyn felt that as a sporting athlete, one is not sure about the time he can spend at home with loved ones and that one does not even know when he would be free and said that the problem is experienced by both men and women alike.

Dale Steyn who felt that the life a sports person is busy also said that in order to not feel lonely he always used to be accompanied by his ex-girlfriend. He also added that he has travelled with his partner and a best friend to this seasons IPL and that they made the feeling of being lonely go away.

Dale Steyn also said that he believes that fast bowlers in the present generation should not be compared to the bowlers from the previous era. Steyn felt that the economy rates of bowlers have changed drastically due to the increase in the size of the bats and decrease in the size of the outfield and felt that long gone are the days when a bowler could bowl his 10 overs for 20 runs which was a standard a few decades ago.

Steyn who was jubilant after his first scalp in the IPL felt that his celebration looked good on TV but live on the ground it was way worse.
