SRH began their campaign with a four-run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders while MI suffered a six-run loss against Gujarat Titans. The likes of Rahul Tripathi (20) and Aiden Markram (18) got the starts against KKR but failed to convert them. On the other hand, Heinrich Klaasen further enhanced his reputation by playing a blinder as he smashed 63 runs off just 29 balls. Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed played fine cameos with the bat.
Bowlers: Pat Cummins (C), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markande, T Natarajan
T Natarajan was the pick of the SRH bowlers against KKR, taking 3 wickets for 29 runs while Mayank Markande claimed three. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had an off day with the ball as he gave away 51 runs in his 4 overs while captain Pat Cummins conceded 32 runs.
MI Playing XI:
Openers: Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma
Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma are set to open the innings for MI against SRH and the onus will be on them to give their team a good start. In the last game, Kishan was out for a 4-ball duck and will be looking to make amends. On the other hand, Rohit scored 43 although he would have liked to finish the game for his side.
Middle-order batters and allrounders: Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (C), Tim David, Naman Dhir,
Naman Dhir played a fine cameo of 20 runs from just 10 balls and would be looking to impress again while Dewald Brevis scored 46. On the other hand, Tilak Varma (25), Tim David (11) and captain Hardik Pandya (11) were dismissed at crucial junctures and will be looking to finish the game for their side if the chance come in the upcoming game.
Bowlers: Piyush Chawla, Gerald Coetzee, Jasprit Bumrah, Luke Wood
Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball against GT, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs in his 4 overs. Gerald Coetzee also made an impressive debut, taking two wickets for 27 runs in his quota of 4 overs. However, Luke Wood and Piyush Chawla failed to impress and will be looking to make amends against SRH.
