Suresh Raina has been enjoying the extended break with his family. But soon, he will be seen in action in the UAE.
The CSK player will be featuring in the IPL 2020 which is scheduled to start from 19th September. The T20 league was earlier scheduled to begin from 29th March but the coronavirus hiatus had marred all the plans. It was postponed indefinitely. However, the cricket boards have found a way to bring back the cricket amid the pandemic.
BCCI has proposed Standard Operating Procedure for IPL franchises to follow the protocols. Bio-secure bubbles and regular COVID-19 tests will be conducted to keep a check on players’ health.
Suresh Raina and other CSK players to reach Chennai:
As per reports, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has planned to gather all the players in Chennai before travelling to UAE. The players will be tested and then will be flown back to Dubai.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed families of players and support staff to accompany them during the IPL. However, it would depend on the franchise to permit family members for the safety concerns.
Reportedly, CSK is considering not allow player’s family members for the initial phase. They have also booked a hotel near Burj Khalifa.
