Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is the latest to express his views on the comments made by former Pakistani skipper and all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Twitter over Kashmir.
The 38-year old, who had retired from international cricket, had accused India over the situation in Kashmir region. He tweeted his views saying:
“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”

However, his views got severe backlash from Indian counterparts. Shahid Afridi had accused United Nations and also other international bodies for the lack of efforts to stop the bloodshed in Kashmir region.
Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir was the first to voice his opinion on Afridi rather than Kashmir. The topic has been a heated debate between the two countries ever since they were split by Britishers back in 1947.
Although, neither India nor Pakistan were ready to concede, the United Nations back in the heydays stopped the war between creating a Line Of Control (LoC). Since then things have more or less settled between the nations as the region is slowly seeing some stability.
Raina Expresses His Views To Afridi
With Afridi’s latest comments, the twitter has become the war zone between some Indians and Pakistanis over the issue. Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is the latest to pitch his voice on the Kashmir issue.
“Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so always. Kashmir is the pious land where my forefathers were born.
“I hope @SAfridiOfficial bhai asks Pakistan Army to stop terrorism and proxy war in our Kashmir. We want peace, not bloodshed and violence. ?,” he tweeted.

But Shahid Afridi’s selection of words has seen a backlash on his views. The ex-Pakistani skipper has increased the heat on the internet with his tweet.
In addition, it remains to be seen when the arguments reduce again.
