Suresh Raina Slams Rumour Mongers on His Death Reports in a Road Accident
On Monday (February 11), the southpaw Suresh Raina has rubbished the reports of his death in a road accident. The middle-order batsman took to his Twitter handle–to slam the miscreants for spreading false news.
Earlier, the reports and videos on social media were doing rounds on social media regarding Raina’s death following a car accident. However, the perturbed Raina told his fans to avoid such hoaxes. He added the fake news had left his family and close friends disturbed.
The 32-year-old Raina reiterated those rumour mongers should face stern punishment for their actions.
Following the clearance from Raina, his fans took to Twitter to back their star and sought immediate action against the culprits.
Moreover, in his latest Twitter post, Raina revealed such YouTube Channels had been reported, and he’s expecting a positive response from the authorities that at the helm of affairs.
Besides, the domestic professional league will kick off on March 23.
Raina’s aggressive brand of cricket has benefitted India while scoring runs irrespective of condition. Of late, his form and untimely injuries have taken a toll on the passionate cricketer.
Also, Raina last featured against England at Leeds in July 2018.
However, the healthy competition within the playing XI has further made things tough for the batting all-rounder. He has been trying hard to make his return in the national fold.
In the recently-concluded Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season, Raina had a mixed season while leading Uttar Pradesh in the first-class competition. Later, Faiz Fazal-led Vidarbha retained the title by thumping Saurashtra in the final in Nagpur.
Since making his international debut in 2005, Raina has featured in 226 ODIs, 87 T20I and 18 Tests for India. He amassed 5615 runs in the 50-over format and slammed seven tons and 48 half-centuries across formats.
Also, he claimed 62 scalps across formats.
