SW’s Long Leg Tales: Shane Warne’s Maiden Tests Hat-Trick, England’s Historic Ashes Win

England players celebrate after winning the match against Australia in Melbourne in 2010.

It’s December 29 and we are inching closer towards the new year. But before we put our one foot outside the door, let’s take a look at the events, which in itself were huge and impact-full.

In the third edition of Sportzwiki’s Long Leg Tales, we have a historic feat line-up, which was achieved by Andrew Strauss led England side against Australia in Melbourne, 2010. Not only this, today the birth of two greats of the neighbouring nation took place, Saqlain Mushtaq of Pakistan and India’s wicket-keeper batsman Syed Kirmani.

However, one event which was a rare feat then took place on this very day many years back, a hat-trick in Ashes after nearly 90 years by Australia’s Shane Warne.

Relive the historic moments:

I am more than just a cricket lover. I have been breathing this game since I was three, and now I am making a living out of it. Also, FC Barcelona happens to be my second love, and evidently, I prefer Lionel Messi over Ronaldo.
