One of the greatest spinners ever to have graced the game, Shane Warne took his first hat-trick in Ashes since 1903/04 on this day in 1994.

After getting a one-nil lead in the series, Australia faced England in the second Test in Melbourne. Australia, who batted first, had a 67-run lead after dismissing England for just 219 in their first innings, kudos to a six-wicket haul from Shane Warne. Chasing 387 in the second innings, England failed to gain any momentum, as a maiden Test hat-trick from Shane Warne perished their batting line-up in no time.
