Shikhar Dhawan finally found his touch in Delhi’s last game in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as the southpaw played an innings of 82*, to end the tournament with at least a half-century to his name. He led Delhi to a win over Services when they were chasing a target of 132. The win could have been much sweeter for Delhi if Gautam Gambhir would have also scored some runs but this was not the case as he was dismissed on a score of 11 after being run-out by Diwesh Pathania.
Delhi stumbled in a small chase but once again Nitish Rana played a small but useful innings of 22 to lead them to a win.

Baroda skipper Irfan Pathan led Baroda’s reply as he anchored the chase with a gritty innings of 65*. Baroda had a poor start as they lost four wickets with a score of 38 and looked in deep trouble but Pathan stood tall and helped them to a win.
Swapnil Singh too played an important role in the chase as he stood by Pathan at a time when he was running out of partners at the other end. Swapnil and Pathan shared 47 runs in just four overs to up the run-rate.
