Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) is not aware of the whereabouts of team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Meanwhile, Ashwin is not a part of the Tamil Nadu team that lost to Gujarat by four wickets yesterday in their first Vijay Hazare Trophy game. However, Ravichandran Ashwin’s missing the game is likely after Virat Kohli admitted that Ashwin aggravated his injury and as a result, missed the fifth Test against England.
But post that, it seems Ashwin hasn’t been in touch with his state association about his injury and rehabilitation plans. It has emerged that he has not even got in touch with the Tamil Nadu team’s medical staff.

However, according to reports in Mirror, Ravichandran Ashwin is missing the ongoing Vijay Hazare to play County Cricket for Worcestershire. Logically, the injured player should have immediately reported to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation. But Ashwin is yet to do that. Instead, he was spotted in Dubai on September 17 taking part in a chat show.

It is still unknown if Ashwin had taken permission from the BCCI to be part of such a show. In fact, a source in BCCI told Mirror, that the board could initiate an inquiry against Ashwin for attending the show. According to another TNCA official, he has not informed them about his injury and rehab plans.
Interestingly, a member of the BCCI communication team, in an email, told Mirror that Ashwin is in Chennai.
“R Ashwin is suffering from a minor groin muscle strain. He is currently undergoing strength & conditioning, rehabilitation process in Chennai. He will be heading to NCA in a couple of days to continue his rehab process,” the mail said.
