On one side of the globe when Indian team was playing against the West Indies, here in Tamil Nadu the locals were busy enjoying the action of Tamil Nadu premier league.
Yesterday, the Dindigul Dragons were up against Madurai Supergiants. Batting first Dragons posted a defendable total of 142 which was to be chased in 18 overs. The Dindigul Dragons opener N Jagadeesan scored 71 runs off just 50 balls.
The Supergiants led by Dinesh Kartik were on the field to chase the target but failed as they lost wickets on a regular interval. None of the batsmen could stick at the crease, thus they lost the game.
Dinesh Karthik and Murugan Ashwin were players to watch out for. Both of them disappointed as Karthik could just score 18 runs whereas M. Ashwin spent 35 runs in four overs he bowled with just one wicket to his name.
