The injury vows continue to hurt the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in their progress. The latest to pick up an injury is the skipper Masharfe Mortaza, which will see him miss the upcoming limited-over series against Sri Lanka, which will be the first bilateral series after a horrible attack in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Tamim Iqbal named as the skipper of the team.

Alongside Mashrafe Mortaza, the other crucial player to miss the series for Bangladesh is their all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin. He has been their best fast bowler in the ranks but unfortunately, picked up a back injury.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin said that they will pick two players from the trio of Farhad Reza, Taskin Ahmed and Abu Jayed as replacements for Mortaza and Saifuddin. Abu Jayed would be one of the two, as he delivered goods in the recent past.
