Rohit Sharma played the biggest innings in ODI history against Sri Lanka on 13 November 2014. He scored 264 runs in 173 balls with 33 fours and nine sixes, which is still a world record. Out of 264 runs against Sri Lanka, 186 runs were hit by fours and sixes by the Hitman.
Rohit’s record-breaking innings helped India score a mammoth score of 404/5 in 50 overs. The Sri Lankan team, chasing the target, were dismissed for 251 runs in 43.1 overs and had to face defeat by 153 runs. They also fall short of 13 runs to surpass Rohit’s individual score.
